Community Involvement

Working for not-for-profit groups is important to RAP Computer Consultants Ltd., but it is also important to us that we contribute within our community.

We support various charity organizations within our community.  We are also involved with various groups by volunteering our time.   During the month of December, Richard plays Santa Claus for not-for-profit groups, such as the YWCA Durham, Sunrise Youth Group, Eastview Boys' and Girls' Club, Northview Unit of Eastview Boys' and Girls' Club, Hansel & Gretel Nursery School, St. Paul's Presbyterian Church.  In 2008, Santa visited Simcoe Smile Centre to assist the staff in a fund raiser for a food bank. The dentist's patients were invited to drop in with a donation of food and have their picture taken with Santa. It was so successful, that it has become an annual event.  He also makes special surprise appearances to various clients.  We also give our time to our own church, St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, by maintaining their website.

Richard has served on the Board of Directors of Distress Centre Durham and is involved with the Youth Justice System in Durham Region.

RAP Computer Consultants Ltd. believes in giving our clients 100% plus.   We try to apply the same ideology to our personal lives by giving back to our community 100% plus, without any fanfare or recognition.
