Chaos Organised

Chaos Organised was first developed for Distress Centre Durham as a solution to the problem of collecting and manipulating data in order to produce instant and up-to-date statistical information covering all the many facets of the office operation.  Knowing what each volunteer had done, when, and for how long, was a monumental task, carried out by going through reams of paper, adding up numbers and eventually coming up with a report that was outdated and not necessarily accurate.  Chaos is also used by Distress Centres in London, Niagara, Ottawa and Sarnia, and Telecare Cambridge.

Chaos Organised allows for easy access to information, portability, confidentiality and, if required, analysis of data collected.  The use of this program reduces the time spent on statistical reports for internal use as well as producing reports at any time with current information for potential funders interested in who uses the service as well as outcomes.

With a click of the mouse, this program is capable of producing a multitude of reports based on the information gathered as volunteers enter their shift times, and call sheet data. It has many utilities to improve the efficiency of the volunteers’ interaction with the callers, as well as tools for administration that save time spent manually producing statistics.  It keeps a current record of activity for each client in a multi-level data based environment.  There are 2 main sections of Chaos:  Volunteer and Administration.

The Volunteer Section consists of:

Volunteer Time Recording
